These Pizza Roll-Ups Are The Perfect Back To School Recipe!
Can you believe it is almost time for the new school year to start? It seems like summer just kicked off, and yet we are already facing the end of it! While you might be sad to say goodbye to the summer season, getting ready to get the kids back in school can be fun. We want to help you get them excited by offering one of our favorite recipes kids will love.
To help you start the new year on the right foot, add a little deliciousness and happiness into your kids' new year with this back to school recipe for pizza roll-ups!
To make two dozen, you will need:
- ½ pound of ground beef
- ½ cup of shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 8-ounce can of tomato sauce
- ½ teaspoon of dried oregano
- 2 8-ounce tubes of crescent rolls
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F.
In a big skillet, cook the beef over medium heat until it is all browned and crumbled. Remove from the heat and drain, then stir in the cheese, tomato sauce, and oregano.
Instead of rolling out your crescent rolls in their triangle shape, keep two together to form a rectangle and pinch the middle seam together. Spoon a few tablespoons of the meat mixture on one long side of the rectangle. Starting at that side, roll the rectangle into a log. Cut into three sections. Repeat with the remaining rectangles.
Lay each rolled piece seam side down on a greased baking sheet at least 2 inches apart. Bake until golden brown (about 15 minutes). Let cool, and enjoy!
